The Once-Only Principle Project (TOOP) was launched by the European Commission in January 2017 as an initiative of more than 50 organisations from more than 20 EU Member States and Associated Countries. TOOP represents a large scale pilot project. The objective of TOOP is to demonstrate the once-only principle with business data, across the borders of European countries. TOOP prepares the way for better exchange of business data (or documents) between public administrations to reduce administrative burdens.
