This position paper focuses on responsibility and responsiveness as two core attributes of trustworthy and desirable technology-based dispute resolution systems. It discusses some measurability dimensions that could operationalize their application in the design of processes within those systems that are consistent with the current regulatory and institutional ADR frameworks, and discusses the risks of a hurried increase in computational power, in the absence of procedural fairness and built-in proactive conflict management features.
